We have also included some frequently asked questions related to guesting with KAJ that we hope you will find helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions About Guesting with KAJ

In which parades are guests eligible to participate?

Guests are eligible to participate in the Rough Riders’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 16, 2024.

Children and family of KAJ members may also participate in the Gasparilla Children’s Parade on Jan. 20, 2024.

Guests are not accepted for the Gasparilla Parade of Pirates on Jan. 27, 2024 or the Sant’ Yago Knight Parade on Feb. 10, 2024.

Is there a fee to guest with KAJ?

Yes. There is a $100 guest fee. If a guest applies to become a member of our krewe, the guesting fee will be applied to the $100 application fee.

How will I know if my application to guest in a parade has been approved?

Once the application, hold harmless agreements and parade fees have been received and the application approved, you will receive an email confirming your acceptance as a guest. Your sponsor will also be notified via email of your acceptance.

What if I don’t have a sponsor?

If you are interested in guesting with KAJ but do not have a sponsor, please email us at info@kreweofannjeffrey.com. We will try to match you with one of our members who will serve as your guesting sponsor.

What should I wear?

All guests are required to adhere to our elegant pirate lady theme by wearing black leggings, white pirate shirt, black pirate sash, and back shoes/boots (riding or knee-high boots preferred). A Gaucho or Cavalier-style pirate hat is optional. Embellished clothing or shoes are not permitted – leggings should be plain black, shirt should be all white, and sash should be solid black. It is important that you check with your sponsor prior to the parade to ensure that your costume adheres to the requirements.

How will I know where and what time to arrive for the parade?

Prior to the parade, the KAJ Vice President sends a plan of the day to all KAJ members. It is the responsibility of your sponsor to ensure all pertinent information is communicated to you.
